Many overseas manufacturers may not meet these strict standards, which means that toys purchased abroad could potentially fail to meet the safety requirements that we hold to here in New Zealand and Australia.

• EN-71-3 (Europe) – This European standard is one of the most rigorous toy safety regulations globally. It goes beyond what’s required in New Zealand and Australia, particularly when it comes to ensuring that toys are free from toxic substances. For example, EN-71-3 covers chemical safety in depth, ensuring that no harmful paints or materials are used. Lily & George toys exceed these standards to guarantee the highest level of safety.
  
  
• ASTM F963 (North America) – This standard is the benchmark for toy safety in the United States and Canada, covering everything from mechanical and physical properties to chemical content and flammability. We’ve made sure our toys meet or surpass the requirements of ASTM F963, ensuring that every product is tested for durability and safety during everyday play.
