Orders are usually processed and dispatched within 48hrs Mon-Fri (excluding public holidays). Delivery timeframes can vary depending on your location but please allow 2-5 days for delivery once your order has been dispatched. All orders are dispatched from our Auckland warehouse.

Care for our product and care for our people, that’s a big part of who we are here at Lily & George. Below will show you how to get the best out of our new Lily & George toy as well as some behind the scenes information about our supply chain and how we strive to be ethical, transparent and all round good humans!

Care for your products:
All Lily & George toys have been designed with durability in mind, that’s why they are all machine washable. We do recommend a gentle cycle and a low or gentle detergent soap.

Once washed the can be hung on the line to dry, this also allows the sun to do its magic with the ultraviolet light and this helps kill any remaining bacteria from the toy.

Please note we do not recommend the use of a tumble dryer on any of our products.

Care for our people:

Lily & George was established in 2008 and since then we have made sure that all our people, right through the supply chain are being looked after. This means everyone from the workers in the factory, in their offices, freight providers and our own logistics and distribution partners here in New Zealand and Australia. We genuinely care about their outcomes and as a result have partnered with those who share our values in this area.

For most people production in China is a major concern, often workers in these areas are not afforded the same protections as we have here back home. Therefore, finding the right partner is so crucial. We have worked with the same company in China for over 14 years, in that time we have been over to see their factory multiple times, meet the people and be a part of their story. In addition to that we also like to have industry recognised standards that they meet, our factory is BSCI Certified, this is the Business Social Compliance Initiative and was created to weed out those wishing to put their workers after profit margins.

A BSCI certification is not easy to obtain, and businesses are regularly audited to ensure they comply. The process to achieve this certification is rigorous and covers off various aspects of worker wellbeing, this includes but is not limited to:

• No Child labour
• No Discrimination
• Decent work hours
• Fair renumeration
• Ethical business behaviour
• No bonded labour
• Good occupational health & safety systems
• Sound environmental practices
